We remove, trim and clear trees in Dacula, from downtown out to the big lots near Little Mulberry and Harbins Parks. Call or text (678) 491-1254 for a free written price, any hour for storms.
Dacula still has a lot of acreage, wooded backlots and old fence lines, mixed in with newer subdivisions along Highway 316 and Hamilton Mill Road. Along with removals, we do a lot of brush and lot clearing out here.
Dacula sends homeowners to Gwinnett County's tree rules. On its FAQ, "Do I need a permit to remove trees on my property?", the city says to refer to Gwinnett County's tree removal information and call Planning and Development at 770-963-7451 (City of Dacula FAQ).
Gwinnett's rule is that homeowners don't need a permit unless the tree is in a zoning buffer or other protected area, and you must keep at least two live trees (Gwinnett County). Call the city before a big removal.
Bigger Dacula lots mean bigger jobs: rows of pines along property lines, dead trees at the woods' edge and overgrown fence lines. We can take down the trees and clear the brush in the same visit.
Watch your pines. Georgia logged more than 1,600 southern pine beetle spots in 2024, up from 273 the year before (UGA Bugwood Center). Needles browning from the top down and small lumps of sap on the bark are the signs. Beetle-killed pines dry out and get brittle fast, so they should come down soon.
The city lists Georgia Power and Jackson EMC for electric service (City of Dacula).
If Jackson EMC is your power company, it keeps a right-of-way of 15 feet on each side of its lines and trims them on a four-year cycle. It tells members never to trim a tree that touches a line and to call 1-800-462-3691 for an inspection (Jackson EMC).
Lines that run pole to pole belong to the power company. Don't trim near them yourself and don't let anyone else. Call the number on your power bill first. Once the line is safe, we handle the rest of the tree.
